6.1.06 Surfing
williamkirk.com goes surfing. Good weather means good things, in this case it
was a weekend surfing at Maryland's assateague
island.Major props to my buddy Mike
from ae for hooking
me up with all the gear and exptertise to make it happen. Weekend
started off nuts at the Starboard
Bar in Dewey Beach, this place is pretty much impossible to explain unless
you have been there, but it just has the ultimate beach vibe. I could tell you
how the night ended for me but then i wouldn't ever be able to run for political
office.
Mike
scored us the hook up at this beach house right on the water! Ok so the
surfing part, we woke up early to find that the temp was a balmy 65 degrees,
paired with a 50 degree water temp. Perfect weather for surfing  We
drove south for a bit and found some sunshine along with a decent break. The
water was freeeeeeezing, and beat me up like nothing i have ever done before.
I think im going to stick to the two six as my primary sport for now, but i
will be working on my pipe skills throughout the summer. Here are a few pics
didnt get any of us on the boards i was to busy trying to warm up. The weekend
was epic and cant wait to get back. More stories when i get a chance.

it. I'll post a link as soon as the site goes live...
4.11.06 MOAB! Keep Scrolling
Im back, how's it going everyone, I’m back from Moab Utah with some horrible sunburn and loving it because the trip was absolutely incredible (except for the 7hr layover in Dallas due to tornadoes). I got to ride some of the most talked about trails in the world in pretty much ideal conditions. The weather was nuts, basically 75 and sunny every day. We rode back to back to back to back days, hitting all the spots that anyone would want to hit. If you ever get the opportunity to ride porcupine rim TAKE IT. It is a total epic, everyone one of us had grins glued to our faces the whole way down (except for bob who wanted to jam a rock in his hand).
Big ups to Matt and Bob for running the marathon that started at 6,000 feet...I was lazy and just took alot of pics instead.
We rented this vehicle with leather and a nav system that would have made JZ proud. We ate like kings too, good Mexican food and beer is the best post recovery food anyone can imagine.
I could write a novel about the trip but the pics do the talking. Enjoy.

It has been forever since i updated again...The past month has been nuts, i
was in Boston for work which was killer except it was freezing!I have been busting
my ass getting all my
gear ready for the summer. Right now I am packing because tomorrow I will
be off to Utah to meet up with Palilla and Justin to do some riding/skiing in
moab. Palilla
is nuts because he is running the Moab Marathon.
Expect tons of new pics because i got a new camera. Canon 10d EOS. Super tight.
Major props to Derek Pearson for hooking me up with his pro gear. Check out
Derek's Site; derekpearson.com
he is one of my favorite photogs out there right now. Check out the site in
about a week or so to see all the shots of utah.

2.04.06 3RIDE!
My life has been nuts right now so busy traveling
to NY for ae and trying to ride/ski as much as possible. Next to no time
to update the site. Regardless, i got to shoot all the rock stars of the mountain
bike industry over the weekend at the red bull 3ride event which took place
at Rays MTB
(love that place). I will let the pics do the talking but one thing worth mentioning
is that the legend himself Hans Rey showed up totally rocked. Some of the highlights
included Greg Watts Beating
Lopes for the overall, Kyle
Strait's 360 whip, and McCaul's flip one footer. Enjoy plenty more to come!
Oh yeah and the STEELERS are playing in the superbowl...Did you know that 75%
of the earth is covered in water? The other 25% is covered with Troy Palamalu.

Happy New Year!

Yeah thatss right it's 2006 and with the year comes a somewhat new look for
the site, as some of you may or may not know I have updated almost everything
on the site's aesthetics, make sure you check out the new galleries that I have
place in the media tab because they are uber sexy from an interface standpoint.
Enough boring crap, It's been so long since I updated this site I really dont even know what I feel like posting right now. For one everybody somehow involved in the freeride mountain bike movement should definitely go check THE MOVEMENT. They really have a great grasp on the scene and keeping it true to its roots. Also I read one of the best interviews I have come across in a long time featuring the demigod of street mtb riding Aaron Chase. Aaron had some great quotes about the progression of films within the industry so check it out here. Just for kicks here are a couple of shots I took with Aaron in December.

Finally, check out this video I found of an M Coupe totally destroying the streets of Europe. American cars pail in comparison. Ok I'm beat and AE awaits tomorrow. Adios.

I Rode my bike til my legs fell off this weekend. Palilla and I went back to Cleveland to ride the most killer of all parks in the North East...Rays. Check out the Pano shot i took of the new Subaru Skate Park, awesome. I guess they are having a big event there that is a pro invitational and I am going to pic up some press passes to shoot it, should be a good time. I put up a new design on the ABOUT page, check it out.
I also did some shooting with Josh Pekich this weekend Down in the city, he was blowing up this brick wall quarter thing. Check out the pics.

NEW UPDATES FOR REAL THIS TIME. LA TRIP!
10.9.05
I just got back from Los Angeles about 30 minutes ago, despite my jet lag I decided I should update the site since I haven't done so in about a million years. Many apologies. Either way, my trip to LA was incredible. I stayed with one my counterparts in crime throughout the years Joe Alabeck (yeah the kid I hit with a snow shovel when I was 3 years old), who is doing a co-op for a biomedical engineering company in woodland hills. I finally got some time to go out because I GOT A NEW JOB working for American Eagle Outfitters as a Software Application Administrator.
While all of you slaved over your computers in your cubicle farms, I was spending some quality time in Malibu , Santa Monica , and Laguna Beach . I don't care what anyone says about LA, the place is paradise you just have to know where to go. I could write every minute detail about the trip but I would just rather post a bunch of pics and let them do the talking.

Josh and I went down to Snowshoe for the norba nationals this past weekend. It was all good except i couldnt get enought time off work to get down there and race. This was Josh's first time on a 26" bike (he is a local bmx pro), to make a long story short he schooled me on a couple stunts in the park... Check out Josh's new clothing company he just launched ABSTRACT APPARREL. Mike Jones was representing the whole time with the(281) 330-8004 haha. Click on the link to check out some of the pros as well as Josh and I in the park!
SNOWSHOE AUGUST 2005

8.14.2005
I know I havent updated the site in forever but it I am trying to begin a career and on top of that it is SUMMER! I have been doing the things i should be: riding, shooting, working, and a bit of partying. I have a ton of shots that i want to get out, on the site but a bunch have been submitted to magazines so you may not be seeing my best work. I think i shot over 1.5 gb at monster park, and the Snowshoe National is going down this upcoming weekend so i should be hitting that up. I just got my fisheye in the mail so check it out!
